Vision, Voice and Intelligence for franchise brands and multi-unit operators

Know what drives your brand. Roll it out everywhere.

GuestMetric watches the counter, kiosk, pickup shelf and drive-thru in every location of your system, and understands the service conversation at the counter and in the lane. It finds which operating practices actually move speed, walkouts and sales, estimates what each one is worth, and turns the winners into actions for every franchisee, district and store.

  • Works with compatible cameras your stores already have
  • No facial recognition
  • Franchisee data stays governed by your hierarchy

Built for systems of 500 to 40,000+ locations

  • Quick service
  • Fast casual
  • Drive-thru
  • Convenience
  • Franchisor and franchisee, on one platform

Six questions a brand needs answered, system-wide.

Most brands know their numbers by store. Very few know, with evidence, which operating practices produced them. GuestMetric is built around the questions that separate a standard from a guess.

What is happening across the system right now?
Queue length, time to cashier, order-to-pickup, walkouts and open incidents for every location, rolled up by franchisee, district, region and daypart.
Which practices actually drive performance?
GuestMetric compares like-for-like locations that do and do not follow a practice, so you learn which standards move the numbers and which only look good on paper.
Where is the brand slipping, and why?
Rankings show which franchisees, districts and formats are drifting. One timeline joins arrivals, queue growth, staffing and equipment so the cause is visible, not argued about.
What is it worth across the portfolio?
Every driver and every problem carries an estimated dollar range for the whole system, with its calculation basis and confidence. Never a guarantee, always shown with the math.
What should each level do?
A brand action for operations leadership, a district action for the field team, a store action for the manager. Each one plain, assignable and due on a date.
Did the rollout work?
Completed actions are checked against the numbers that followed, location by location, so you know which standards to keep, scale or retire.

GuestMetric Vision · Live operations

Catch the rush before it becomes a walkout.

Live queue, service-time and pickup-area conditions for every open location, with alerts ranked by urgency and business impact. Each alert tells the manager what happened, why it matters, what the evidence is and what to do, so nobody has to dig through modules mid-rush.

  • Alerts prioritized by impact, not by volume
  • Data freshness and sensor status always visible
  • If a camera is blocked, you see "paused", never a false zero

GuestMetric Vision · Health scores

The same score for the brand, the franchisee and the store.

One health score with the reasons behind it, from the whole system down to a single shift. Speed of service, queue management, fulfillment, labor alignment and more each show whether they lifted or lowered the score, so a franchise business consultant and a store manager are looking at the same explanation.

  • Scores always explain what moved them
  • Walkouts and abandonment counted, not inferred from sales
  • Nothing is shown until there is enough data to mean something

GuestMetric Voice · Frontline service intelligence

Hear what happened during the service, not just how long it took.

GuestMetric Voice analyzes the service conversation at the counter and in the drive-thru lane, on an appliance inside the store: greetings, specific recommendations, verbal acceptance, clarifications, complaint handling, out-of-stock mentions and the questions guests keep asking. Raw voice does not need to leave the restaurant.

  • Hospitality, suggestive selling and complaint resolution, measured consistently
  • Operational friction your POS report never shows
  • Coaching and recognition drawn from real interactions

GuestMetric Intelligence · Portfolio drivers

See what moves the whole brand, and what doesn't.

Across thousands of locations, GuestMetric separates the practices that measurably change speed, abandonment and sales from the ones that don't. Each driver shows its effect size, how many locations it was observed in, and how confident the system is, so operations leadership can scale what works and stop spending on what doesn't.

  • Like-for-like comparisons: same format, volume, hours and daypart
  • Correlation kept clearly separate from confirmed causation
  • One click turns a proven driver into a brand-wide action

GuestMetric Intelligence · Revenue opportunity

See what a slow line costs, in dollars, at any scale.

GuestMetric translates queue abandonment, slow pickup, idle kiosks and under-staffed dayparts into an estimated range you can take to a budget meeting, for one store or the whole system. Each estimate shows the inputs, the data sources and how confident the system is.

  • Ranges, not single numbers, with confidence shown
  • Calculation basis visible on every estimate
  • Always paired with a recommended next step

Estimates help you prioritize. They are never presented as guaranteed outcomes.

GuestMetric Intelligence · Action center

Turn a finding into an assignment, and an assignment into proof.

A brand action cascades into district and store actions, each with an owner, a priority, a due date, notes and evidence attached. When the action is marked done, GuestMetric watches the next shifts and tells you whether the numbers actually moved, location by location.

  • Overdue and recurring problems surface on their own
  • Before-and-after results on every completed action
  • Rollout tracking across franchisees, districts and stores

The rest of the toolkit.

Everything else a brand and its operators need once the basics are under control.

  • Fair benchmarking

Compare locations only against similar ones: same volume, format, hours, region, drive-thru or not. Find who to learn from, across franchisees, and what to replicate.

  • Reports that recommend

Hourly to monthly, same day last week to same period last year, store to franchise-wide. Every report opens with a summary, the contributing factors and the next step.

  • Root-cause timeline

Guest arrival, queue, cashier, kiosk, payment, pickup, staffing changes and equipment issues on one line, so a delay explains itself.

  • Coaching, not policing

Team and department views built for recognition and improvement, with sample-size and confidence checks so a single bad hour never becomes a verdict.

  • Incidents and safety

Review slip-and-fall, theft or suspicious-activity events, confirm or dismiss, assign follow-up and save authorized video with a clear audit trail.

  • Test a standard before you mandate it

Pilot a change in a set of stores, like a new pickup layout or breakfast staffing model, and see before-and-after results against matched control locations before it goes system-wide.

One platform, four very different mornings.

Each role opens to the view that matches its job, and nothing else. Access follows your franchise hierarchy and your franchise agreements.

Brand and franchisor leadership

Which standards move the system, in 30 seconds.

Aggregated, privacy-conscious views of operational standards, regional and format performance, proven drivers and rollout progress. Evidence for the next operations review, not another dashboard.

Multi-unit franchisees

Portfolio health and the dollars at stake.

Location rankings, estimated revenue opportunity, labor and service trends, open risks and which managers are closing their actions. Weekly and monthly summaries written for an owner.

District managers and FBCs

Know which stores need you this week.

A short list of locations that need attention, why, and what has already been assigned. Track corrective actions across every store you cover without a spreadsheet.

Store managers

Today's most important action, first.

Current conditions, live alerts, assigned actions and shift performance in one workspace built for someone standing at the counter, not sitting at a desk.

GuestMetric administrators manage clients, franchise structures, devices, billing and system health from a separate control center that operational users never see.

Built to run across a franchise system.

A brand is not one company. GuestMetric is structured the way a franchise system actually is.

  • A hierarchy that matches yours

Brand, franchisee group, owner, district and location, with permissions and reporting that follow the structure. Franchisees see their stores; the brand sees standards and trends.

  • Location records that outlive ownership

When a store changes hands, its operating history stays attached to the location through an effective-dated, audited transfer. Benchmarks don't reset.

  • Edge processing in every store

Each location runs its own appliance. Video is processed on site, the store keeps working through an internet outage, and only service events reach the platform.

  • Audit history for what matters

Saving video, closing incidents, changing permissions, transferring ownership and editing standards all leave a record the brand and the franchisee can both see.

  • Staged rollout

Start with a pilot cohort, prove the drivers against matched control stores, then expand by region, format or franchisee at the pace your field team can support.

  • Device health, system-wide

Camera obstructions, offline appliances and low-confidence detections are visible to your platform team and reflected in every score, so nobody acts on bad data.

How it works

Three steps, and most of the work happens inside the store.

  1. Connect the cameras, and optionally the audio, in each store

GuestMetric Vision uses compatible cameras your locations already have over the counter, queue, pickup area and drive-thru. A layout and camera review during setup confirms which existing views can be used; where a camera is not compatible or an area has no coverage, we add one. Optional LiDAR sharpens queue and dwell measurement. GuestMetric Voice connects to counter microphones or compatible drive-thru audio systems.

  2. On-site appliances turn video and voice into service events

A guest arrived, joined the queue, reached the cashier, was greeted, heard a specific recommendation, picked up, left. Routine footage never leaves the building and is deleted locally after 30 days unless someone with permission saves it. With GuestMetric Voice, speech is recognized and analyzed on-site too, and only structured results reach the platform. If the internet drops, the store keeps measuring.

  3. Answers arrive at every level of the brand

Service events combine with your operational data to produce drivers, scores, estimates, alerts and actions. Brand leadership, franchisees, field teams and store managers each see the view built for them, on desktop, tablet or phone.

What is a walkout worth across your system?

Most operators have a feel for how many guests leave the line during a rush. Put your own numbers in and see what that adds up to over a year across the portfolio. GuestMetric replaces the guess with a count.

This uses only the numbers you enter. It is a way to think about the problem, not a promise of results.

Potential sales walking out each year $0 If even a third of those guests would have ordered, that is $0.

Measures the operation. Not the person.

GuestMetric understands zones, movement, service events and time. It does not identify who anyone is, and it does not need to. That matters to your guests, to your franchisees' teams, and to the brand whose name is on the door.

  • No facial recognition, no biometricsGuests and employees are counted and timed, never identified. The system does not collect biometric identifiers.
  • Video stays in the storeRoutine footage is processed locally and deleted after 30 days unless an authorized person saves an incident.
  • Voice is processed on-siteGuestMetric Voice recognizes and analyzes speech on an appliance in the store. Raw conversations do not need to leave the restaurant, and dashboards show counts and categories, not transcripts.
  • Brand sees standards, not peopleFranchisor views are aggregated. Employee and incident information is restricted to the roles your agreements allow.
  • Everything important leaves a recordSaving video, closing incidents, changing permissions and transferring ownership are all audited.
  • Fair to every teamPerformance insights require enough data, show their confidence, and go through a manager before they go anywhere else.

Questions brands and operators ask us

How does GuestMetric tell a real driver from a coincidence?

It compares locations that follow a practice with matched locations that don't: same format, similar volume, hours and daypart mix. Effects are reported with the number of locations observed and a confidence level, and the product labels a finding as a correlation until a pilot against control stores confirms it. You will never see a single store's good week presented as a brand-wide truth.

Who owns the data, the brand or the franchisee?

Your franchise agreements decide, and GuestMetric is configured to match them. The platform's hierarchy lets the brand see aggregated standards and trends while each franchisee controls its own stores, people and incidents. Access rules, retention and video permissions are set per level and every change is audited.

Can we start with a pilot?

Yes, and we recommend it. A typical first phase is a cohort of stores chosen to represent your formats and volume bands, measured against matched control locations, so the first rollout decision is based on your own evidence. The demo will cover what a pilot would look like for your system.

Do our stores need to buy new cameras?

Often not, but it depends on what is installed. GuestMetric can use compatible cameras you already have over the counter, queue and pickup zone; many common IP cameras qualify, but not every system does. During setup we review each location's cameras and layout and tell you exactly which existing views can be used, which cameras need replacing, and where a key area has no coverage. Anything that is missing or not compatible is added as part of the installation.

Does it recognize faces or track individual people?

No. The system measures zones, movement and timing: how many people are in the queue, how long it takes to reach the cashier, whether an order was picked up. It never identifies who a person is, and it does not collect biometric identifiers such as face geometry.

Does GuestMetric Voice record or listen to our employees?

GuestMetric Voice analyzes the service interaction, not the employee. Speech is recognized on an appliance inside the store, the platform receives structured results such as "greeting given" or "specific recommendation made, verbally accepted", and full conversations are not shown in the normal dashboard. It does not use employee voiceprints by default and never scores accents, dialects, speech disabilities or personality. Local recording is off unless an authorized operator enables it where the law and your policies allow. Read how Voice handles audio.

What happens when a store loses internet?

The on-site appliance keeps processing and the local store screen keeps working. When the connection returns, the events sync to the platform and the history fills in. The store does not lose the shift, and the brand view marks the gap honestly while it lasts.

How are the dollar estimates calculated?

Each estimate shows its own math: the events counted (for example, 41 guests who left the queue), the inputs it used (such as your average ticket), the assumptions it made and a confidence level. They are shown as ranges and are meant to help you prioritize, not to promise a result.

Will franchisees and managers feel watched?

The product is written to support operators, not grade them. Alerts explain what happened and what to do. Performance views are built around recognition and coaching, require enough data before drawing a conclusion, and never turn a single bad hour into a verdict. Brand-level views are aggregated by design.

Does it connect to our POS, scheduling and other systems?

GuestMetric combines what the cameras see with operational data such as sales and schedules so estimates and labor views are grounded in your numbers. During the demo we will confirm which of your systems can be connected and what you get from each.

How do you handle security for a brand of our size?

Role-based access that follows your hierarchy, location-level permissions, automatic locking of local store sessions, controlled and audited video access, and privacy-conscious processing at the edge. We share our security documentation with your team during evaluation and will work through your vendor review with you.
